About this place
Diners who have tried the shoyu ramen say its rich soy sauce and seafood stock pair well with the thin, springy noodles. It is a good choice if you want a full-flavoured broth with your noodles. Some diners have also praised the clear, savoury broth of the shio ramen and its match with the thin noodles, making it an alternative to the shoyu bowl. Both styles are available with chashu, and you can add seasoned egg or bamboo shoots. Diners have noted the bamboo shoots’ pleasant bite and the seasoned egg’s firm, soft-set yolk; adding toppings is one way to tailor the bowl to your taste.
Extra noodles are available if you would like a little more. One diner’s reported way of enjoying egg-on-rice is to pour ramen broth over it, a combination worth considering if you order rice after your noodles. The menu also includes bottled beer, highballs and chashu as a snack.
Kashiwagi serves lunch, making it an option for a ramen meal in Higashi-Nakano. Reservations are not accepted, and payment is cash only.
